David Hurn’s beaches in Country Life
Country Life magazine has published a selection of David Hurn’s monochromatic images documenting the everyday lives of seaside visitors, which form part of The Great British Seaside: Photography from the 1960s to the Present exhibition at the National Maritime Museum. The exhibition, which features a number of other photographers, including Magnum’s Martin Parr, comes to a close this weekend. Read the Country Life feature here, and get exhibition details here.

Bruce Gilden for Beauty Papers
Bruce Gilden has shot a series of portraits and a cover for the latest issue of beauty-focused art magazine Beauty Papers. Turning the lens on the photographer himself, Beauty Papers then filmed Bruce as he walked the streets of his familiar stomping ground New York City.
As part of Lecture in Progress’ alternative reading lists, Martin Parr and Magnum’s Global Digital Director Anne Bourgeois-Vignon share the books that remain longstanding sources of inspiration for them.
