D’Ici – From Here
“From Here”, from France, eight exiled journalists and Magnum Photos photographers combine their personal experiences around the notions of exile, repression, resistance, success or failure. These journalists come from countries where freedom of the press is constantly threatened. Exiled journalists and Magnum photographers use their respective tools, the camera and the pen, to confront their experiences: from detention to exile and the difficulties to adapt to new life far from home. Their texts and photos will be exhibited on the walls of the Paris City Hall from 3rd to 31st May, 2019 and published in a free newspaper with a circulation of 40,000 copies.
