Odyssey is more than a journey. It is a search for meaning, a crossing of thresholds, a story of growth and resilience. Bringing together a wide range of work from over 100 photographers, this Square Print Sale traces the paths we take across borders, through memory, and into the unknown. Presented in collaboration with The Photographers’ Gallery in London, the collection offers works by artists including Martin Parr, Daidō Moriyama, Eve Arnold, Nadav Kander, Steve McCurry, Juno Calypso, Karen Knorr, and more.

“Odyssey considers photography as a sustained act of looking,” says Michael Sargeant, Global Digital Director for Magnum Photos. “It speaks to journeys undertaken, sometimes perilously, as in Homer’s epic poem, sometimes unfolding through long-term engagement with people, places, and ideas. The theme and selection reflect Magnum’s diversity of practice and its near 80-year commitment to independent photographic work. The Square Print Sale remains a vital mechanism in sustaining this work.”

Shoair Mavlian, Director of The Photographers’ Gallery, says, “We are delighted to be partnering with Magnum again on the Square Print Sale. It is a great chance to bring together talented artists with different perspectives on what ‘Odyssey’ means to them. The Square Print Sale opens up opportunities for more people to own exceptional photography and experience its power to move us, inspire us and bring us together. We are excited about the photographers whose work we are showcasing, many of whom are longstanding partners of The Photographers’ Gallery. As a charity, every sale will support the work we do here at The Photographers’ Gallery.”

From epic migrations to quiet moments of personal reckoning, these photographs chart both physical and emotional journeys. The images span decades and continents, revealing how individual stories can mirror larger cultural, social, and political shifts. Each photograph serves as a waypoint in a broader narrative of change and discovery. Where have we been? Where are we going? Odyssey offers striking glimpses into the journeys that shape who we are and what we come to understand, inviting viewers to reflect on their own unfolding paths.
