Magnum Photographers

Magnum’s relationship with documenting the world’s crises is rooted in the work and interests of its founding photographers who had witnessed the atrocities of World War II and were united in their humanitarian approach to documenting the world around them.

Magnum photographers and the agency are regularly commissioned by charities, non-governmental organisations and not-for-profits to document their work, telling visual stories about their emergency relief and longer-term aid efforts globally.

As well as providing image licensing for communication needs, Magnum and its photographers specialise in more immersive group commissions with multiple outputs including publications, dedicated microsites, exhibitions and social media campaigns focused on supporting the work and messaging of aid agencies.
