This exhibition brings together several major series that propelled the Magnum agency photographer to the forefront of the world scene: Sleeping by the Mississippi (2004), Niagara (2006), Broken Manual (2010), Songbook (2014) and A pound of pictures (2022).
Alec Soth’s photographs are poetic explorations of the margins of American territory, small towns, suburbs, wilderness areas, national parks… At a time when the United States and its fractures are at the heart of current events, his profoundly humanist work shows us, like no other, the flip side of the American dream.
