From an eerily realistic Frankenstein monster taking the Subway to children dressed up for trick or treating, Magnum photographers capture the playfulness of Halloween. Bruno Barbey’s snaps of new Yorkers epitomise America’s infatuation with the holiday, while Richard Kalvar’s image of children in costume playing on a French beach, and Cristina Garcia Rodero’s portrait of a woman dressed as a bunny are a testament to the ubiquity of the Halloween costume around the world.
