Description
Join us for a five-week online photography workshop with Zied Ben Romdhane.
In this online workshop we will explore how meaning is constructed through editing, sequencing, rhythm, and context. Rather than searching for definitive answers, the workshop encourages participants to question, observe, and refine their own approach to storytelling. Each photograph gains strength through its relationship with the others, allowing narratives to emerge that are layered, nuanced, and deeply personal.
Throughout the workshop, participants will develop or expand an ongoing project through presentations, discussions, practical assignments, and individual feedback. Emphasis will be placed on finding the visual and conceptual threads that give a project its identity, while strengthening each participant’s ability to edit, sequence, and communicate with clarity and purpose.
I am interested in how a sequence of images produces meaning and how visual narratives emerge through the relationships between photographs. What are the mechanisms that shape this visual narrative? How do the selection of images, their order, rhythm, and transitions influence our perception and interpretation of a documentary story? These questions inform my approach to sequencing and editing, with the aim of better understanding how to construct visual stories that are meaningful. – Zied Ben Romdhane
