Pride Month 2025

Magnum Photographers

“We live in a world where simply being visible as a queer person is an often rebellious act. And I think that photography is one way that queer people claim our visibility in a world that would rather render us invisible altogether,” writes June Gordon, one of the models phtotographed by Gregory Halpern in 2018 on commission with New Pandemics, a LGBTQ+ casting agency in New York.

As we celebrate Pride this month, we take a look at several stories centered on the global LGBTQ+ community through the Magnum archive, from 1930 to 2025.
