Magnum Photos is pleased to offer one scholarship opportunity to join Magnum’s first-ever long-term course: Magnum Learn Lab for Storytellers.
The Learn Lab is a ten-month international mentorship program designed to support emerging photographers, supported by Magnum photographers Newsha Tavakolian, Antoine d’Agata and Rafał Milach, alongside artist Tania Bohórquez and designer Ania Nalecka-Milach. It brings together the most effective elements of Magnum’s current programs and years of learning initiatives into a cohesive mentorship program for 20 selected participants. Featuring a series of immersive, in-person residencies and offering long-term artistic and professional guidance, it is centered on elevating each participant’s practice with more purpose and direction.
The scholarship is open to photographers aged 18–30 who are living in a Schengen Area country. Applicants must be at least 18 and no older than 30 at the time of application. Eligible countries are: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.
The scholarship covers the full course fee of $17,450. The selected participant will be responsible for covering their own travel and living expenses during the three on-site residencies in Venice, Milan, and Paris.
The successful candidate will be selected by the Learn team following a 30-minute interview in October.
