Description

Point of View offers a comprehensive and in-depth survey of the legendary Magnum photographer Werner Bischof, whose career was tragically cut short in 1954. This retrospective presents nearly 200 original prints, including rare and never-before-published works hand-selected from the Werner Bischof Estate.

Through an engaging combination of contact sheets, books, magazines, private letters, and projections, the exhibition traces Bischof’s remarkable travels and evolving vision. It presents his work across four distinct periods and regions: Switzerland (1934–1944), Europe (1945–1950), Asia (1951–1952), and North and South America (1953–1954).

Point of View reveals Bischof’s unique ability to blend humanistic storytelling with striking visual composition, capturing the complexities of a rapidly changing world with empathy and artistic rigor.
