Magnum Photos and 4Plus are pleased to sponsor eight scholarships for Armenian photographers, to take part in this year’s Inside>>Out program.
We are looking for photographers interested in learning more about documentary photography, working on projects, and demonstrating a strong ability to tell stories through photography. Your statement should demonstrate your interest in pursuing a career in photography and how this opportunity will help this process.
We encourage applications from those who are underrepresented in the photography industry including women (female-identifying), people from lower socio-income backgrounds and LGBTQIA+. We also welcome applicants from a range of educational backgrounds and therefore do not require a minimum formal qualification.
Four of the eight scholarships are reserved for students and alumni of the TUMO Center and the State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia. Applicants must be at least 17 years old and have a good command of English.
Required materials
– One PDF file including one or two photo stories with no more than 30 images in total
– A Statement of Purpose in English explaining why you are applying and how this opportunity will benefit your practice
Applications are free and do not include any fees.
