“All wars produce casualties: destroyed lives and truth. From the beginning of the Iraq war, the great spin from the Bush administration has been and is – ‘Only the enemy suffers casualties’.

The most obvious example of that effort was closing Dover Air Force Base to the press – Let no one see the rows of flag-draped coffins ready to be shipped to grieving families.

And there have been hundreds of grieving families in America. Herein are a few of those families that have had to endure the bitter truth and the intolerable loss of this war and it’s pain and anguish. Families, friends, and strangers gathered with love to give honor, comfort, hope and the strength to survive.” – Paul Fusco
