4Plus is an independent documentary photography center founded in 2012 in Armenia.
Its mission is to promote documentary photography, support the growth of the professional photography community, and strengthen Armenia’s visual storytelling landscape.
As a platform for visual narratives, 4Plus documents and explores key events and issues shaping Armenian society, covering political, human rights, socio-economic, cultural, and ecological challenges. Photography is used as a tool for public dialogue, critical reflection, and the preservation of collective memory.
The center places strong emphasis on education and knowledge sharing, organizing courses and lecture series for both emerging and professional photographers.
Beyond training and documentation, 4Plus regularly publishes photography books and catalogues and curates exhibitions, bringing important stories to audiences in Armenia and beyond.
TUMO Center for Creative Technologies is a free-of-charge educational program that puts teens in charge of their own learning.
Combining self-learning activities, workshops, and learning labs with the industry leaders, TUMO covers skills at the intersection of technology and design, including GenAI, animation, game development, programming, music, filmmaking, graphic design, 3D modeling, and more.
Established in 1945, the State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia (SAFAA) is the founder and guarantor of professional visual arts and design education in Armenia. Its mission is to cultivate creators with a research-oriented mindset. In the Academy, creativity is inseparably linked to the study of the surrounding world. AHA collective is an independent curatorial practice engaged internationally, rooted in Yerevan, Armenia, founded in 2019 by curator and art historian Nairi Khatchadourian.
AHA collective aims at researching, commissioning, publishing, and curating contemporary art projects that critically engage with Armenia’s histories, its diasporic contexts, and the wider Eastern region.
AHA’s gallery in Yerevan exhibits works by artists from diverse backgrounds across the modern and contemporary eras, with a strong focus on emerging voices and overlooked figures from Armenia and its diaspora. Through curated exhibitions, public programs, and critical dialogue, the gallery and the curatorial practice contribute to a broader recognition of Armenian contemporary art within the global cultural discourse.
