On October 7, 2023, Lyora was at the hospital in Ashdod. She had given birth to Asif two days before the Hamas attack. She called her two brothers who are combatants and came with guns to the kibbutz to save many people. Upon their arrival, they found the dead body of their mother in pyjamas near the guest house where she stayed to help take care of Lyora's children. She was 65. Negev, Israel. October 5, 2025.
