Eamonn Doyle O'Connell Bridge. Dublin, Ireland. 2014.
"This image, like many of my other street photographs, was taken on O'Connell Bridge in Dublin. One of the widest bridges in Europe, it is the main transit
(...) ion point between the north and south sides of Dublin city. To city natives and visitors alike the differences between both sides can be striking at times. In recent decades the north inner city has fallen foul of a series of disastrous planning decisions whereas the majority of attention and development has been concentrated on the south side. My street photographs seem to be poised somewhere between documentary and abstraction. They are as much a portrait of the street as of the people who inhabit and move through it."
