Description

Join Magnum photographer Antoine d’Agata and artist Tania Bohórquez Salinas for an eight-day immersive workshop in Oaxaca, Mexico, on to how to explore and expand your photographic practice.

While developing your personal project, you will be encouraged to explore different approaches to image-making and confront your position in a challenging context as the workshop happens during the preparations of the celebration of Día de los Muertos. You have to be willing to photograph intensely, face your obsessions and contradictions while shaping a series of images that convey in real terms your relationship to the world.

Throughout the workshop, you will receive daily feedback from Antoine d’Agata and have personal appointments with Tania Bohórquez Salinas who will help you question in a deeper way the internal, intellectual, social and emotional process that motivates or detonates your creative drive. You will be immersed in discussions with guests Edgardo Aragón and Jessica Chrastil about art and the importance of being involved in the communities where you develop your projects.
