Join Magnum photographer Bruce Gilden for a five-week online workshop focused on developing a photography project rooted in a specific place. The workshop will take place from March 6 to April 3, 2024 .
Throughout this 5-week program, participants will engage in weekly shooting assignments and constrictive feedback sessions. Whether you are currently pursuing a long-term project or seeking to start from scratch, this workshop welcomes photographers at all stages of their career eager to produce new, compelling work.
In addition to offering individual feedback, Bruce Gilden will share insights into his own photographic journey through a series of lectures. Topics covered will include the art of editing and sequencing, as well as transforming fleeting ideas into tangible and cohesive photographic projects.
Under Gilden’s guidance, you will be asked to develop a personal project in a particular location. Gilden will push you out of your comfort zone, with the aim of identifying your personal working style, helping you define your individual vision.
“I’ll be critical and tough and will help you make photographs, not take photographs. It all starts by being yourself.” — Bruce Gilden
