To celebrate the launch of Jim Goldberg and Iryna Tsilyk’s fundraising newspaper Another Life, Magnum will be hosting an In Conversation session with Jim Goldberg and Gregory Barker, co-founder of the publishers Stanley/Barker. This is an in-person event taking place at the Magnum Gallery in London with Gregory Barker. Jim Goldberg will be participating via live stream.
In 2005 and 2006, Jim Goldberg traveled to Ukraine as part of a project exploring migration at the start of the new millennium. For this newspaper, Goldberg revisits his work from the time, alongside Ukrainian writer and filmmaker Iryna Tsilyk.
The newspaper will be available to purchase at the event. Five golden tickets have been randomly placed within copies, representing five original prints by Goldberg that can be claimed upon discovery. All profits from this limited-edition broadsheet publication will go to support Voices of Children. Voices of Children provide psychological support to children who have suffered due to the war in Ukraine. In addition to providing mental health support, Voices of Children help to evacuate families with children, and assist in sourcing urgently needed housing, food, and clothing.
