Description

Having photographed the rise of Margaret Thatcher, her portrait becoming one of Peter’s most iconic images, Peter became moved to photograph the effect of the Thatcherite policies on the nation. This assignment led him to Liverpool in the early 1980’s.

Peter’s photographs captured both the social decline and the impact of poverty on parts of the community but also the inherent sense of survival and determination against all odds.
