Known for a bold approach to photojournalism, Stuart Franklin has photographed some of the biggest news events of the 21st century. In a longterm personal project, however, Franklin shifts his lens away from the political sphere, towards the austere landscapes of coastal Norway where he spent over two years contemplating the self-images that can be found in nature. The resulting images reveal surprising abundance in an environment that at first appears bleak.
