Description

By the 1960s, Andy Warhol was at the very center of the Pop Art movement sweeping America and Britain. While he produced a great number of works behind the camera lens, Warhol was no stranger to being photographed. The portraits of him by other artists belie the public image Warhol so carefully crafted for himself, offering a rare glimpse of the man beneath the silver wig. Pictured here, Warhol presents an artwork in his Factory in New York.
