In the early 2000s, Patrick Zachmann began wandering city streets after sundown, inspired by the artificial colors, shadows, and glows created by life at night. From Paris to Seoul, London to Rio de Janeiro, Amsterdam to Beijing, Zachmann — after years of working in black and white — captured the transformation of these cities in color.
This image, of a restaurant in Seoul bathed in neon, is available as part of the Magnum After Dark Collection, celebrating nighttime photography from around the world.
