Michael Christopher Brown arrived in Cairo while the ruling Egyptian regime initiated a brutal crackdown on the Muslim Brotherhood, the political party of recently deposed President Mohamed Morsi.

Brown decided to use his camera phone to document daily life in a city that’s witnessed incredible disruption during the past two years and to gain more knowledge and understanding of the situation on the ground.
