Underground nightclub, located on Cable Street, East London. London, England, Great Britain. 1964. “Bob Dylan chose this image for the cover of his new album Rough and Rowdy Ways. I was delighted.
The photograph was taken during a shoot for The Observer Magazine in a nightclub in London which was patronised mainly by West Indians. The light was poor, coming mainly from the jukebox, but I liked the shapes made by the dancer and the guy leaning over to choose a record.” – Ian Berry
