Exhibition: The Europeans in Rotterdam
Henri Cartier-Bresson’s images from across Europe go on show at the Netherlands Photo Musuem
The Netherlands Photo Musuem is adding an extra dimension to its Europe: What else ? exhibition by bringing The Europeans, a renowned photo-series made by Henri Cartier-Bresson, to the Netherlands for the first time.
The Europeans is an exhibition of iconic black and white photographs taken by Cartier-Bresson as he journeyed across the European continent between 1929 and 1991. The photographs portray Europe, its landscape and people, in various situations and at different stages of history, providing viewers a window into the continent over six decades.
The exhibition is in collaboration with the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson and Magnum Photos.
