Henri Cartier-Bresson’s Landscapes
The Magnum co-founder's expansive body of work will be on display in Italy until the autumn
A selection of Henri Cartier-Bresson’s iconic black and white photographs, taken between the 30’s and the 60’s in Europe, Asia, and America, will go show in Forte di Bard until late October, 2018.
Although people sometimes appear in the curation of photos, the focus is on pastoral settings, opening up a dialogue between the landscapes of nature and the landscapes of man. The exhibition presents an opportunity to view the natural world through Cartier-Bresson’s eyes; his images capture moments and emblematic aspects of nature, immortalizing the perfect harmony between the lines and geometries of the images.
The exhibition, Landscapes, is on display from June 17 to October 21 2018, was realized in conjunction between Magnum Photos and the HCB Foundation.
