Ara Güler Universal is a worldwide touring exhibition that pays tribute to the photographer Ara Güler who passed away on October 17, 2018.

Organized by the agency Visioncy, in collaboration with Ara Güler himself, the exhibition is an unprecedented event celebrating the 90th birthday of the photographer and displaying his lifelong work throughout the century, depicting and revealing the man behind the camera.

Opening in one of the leading art hubs in Tehran, the Nabshi Center, from February 1st to March 15th 2019, the exhibition will feature over 160 photographs, and an accompanying book will be published in several languages.

Ara Güler was one of Turkey’s greatest ambassadors. He not only contributed to Istanbul’s cultural standing but also to the history of photography internationally. His photographs are the testament to the numerous relationships he developed and nurtured throughout his prolific career.
