Description

After taking you on a journey through the Cyclades Islands over the past two years, Magnum photographer Enri Canaj now invites you into his home on the island of Lesvos, Greece.

Located in the northeastern Aegean Sea, just off Turkey’s East coast, Lesvos is a land rich in archaeological treasures, from castles and theaters to temples, sanctuaries, and aqueducts. For centuries, it has captivated artists, writers, and romantics alike. The island is also famously known as the homeland of Sappho, the ancient Greek poetess who celebrated love between women, making it a lasting symbol of LGBTQ+ identity.

Over five days, immerse yourself in the development of a photography project. Whether you choose to focus on portraiture, environment, or conceptual storytelling, Enri will guide you through each step—from initial ideas to the final edit—helping you craft a compelling narrative through your images.

Without sharing there is no learning,” reflected a participant from last year’s Cyclades workshop. By welcoming photographers into his own home, Enri offers, once again, a rare opportunity to connect with fellow creatives, engage in deep conversations, and share meaningful moments in a warm and inspiring setting.

This workshop offers:

  • A personalized mentorship with Magnum photographer Enri Canaj who will guide you throughout the development of your photographic project
  • A unique experience hosted in Enri’s home on the island of Lesvos, fostering inspiration and creativity
  • A chance to connect with fellow photographers by engaging in deep conversation and sharing meaningful moments
  • Group reviews sessions to gain diverse perspectives on your work, learn from peers, and develop a sense of community through shared experiences
  • Editing session to improve your narrative skills

The workshop is open to photographers of all levels, from passionate amateurs to working professionals who want to further refine their skills in the art of street photography.
