Your search for "In Long Story Bit by Bit, Tim Hetherington uses documentary photography to explore the dynamics of power, international complicity, and the search for justice in recent Liberian history. Hetherington was born in Liverpool, U.K., and attended Oxford University, where he studied the Classics and English Literature. After graduation, he spent two years traveling throughout China and India, and would later spend eight years living in West Africa. Hetherington took his first job with The Big Issue, a London-based magazine, as their sole staff photographer. He went on to become a contributing photographer for Vanity Fair, covering conflicts in Kosovo, the Ivory Coast, Afghanistan, Sierra Leone, and Libya. Known for his long-term documentary work, Hetherington was the recipient of a Columbia University duPont Award, the U.K. NESTA National Endowment Fellowship, and four World Press Photo prizes, including the 2007 World Press Photo of the Year. In 2009, Umbrage Editions published Long ..." had no results.
