“In 2012, I created a biosphere in an enclosed geodesic dome on my property in upstate New York. I landscaped the space and filled it with plants and small creatur
(...) es, with the intention of making an environment in which I could photograph the world of the ‘understory,’ defined as the life of the forest below the canopy of trees. In Untitled #7, from this series of photographs, I attempt to expose the dark and often hidden world of the forest floor.”
