30 October 2004 marks the 30th anniversary of one of the greatest sporting spectacles of the 20th century - The Rumble In The Jungle. The heavyweight world championship fight between the holder, and some said unbeatable, George Foreman, and older Muhammad Ali, was one of the biggest upsets in sporting history. The fight took place in Kinshasa, Zaire after fledgling promoter Don King convinced the Zairian dictator Mobutu Sese Seko that the fight would put his country on the map. The fight cemented Ali's status as the greatest heavyweight in history, spawned the book "The Fight" by Norman Mailer, was the subject of an Oscar-winning documentary, put Don King on his way to boxing promotion supremacy and served as an inspiration for billions of people around the world as Ali became the
most-recognised person on the planet. Abbas, while documenting Mobuto's Zaire, followed Ali through his weeks training in Zaire and captured the fights defining moments.
