"Having no choice is the greatest form of freedom. The stage was distant. I could only see at the audience around me", explains Alex Majoli. "I started to play my i-pod music and look at the people, I screened them one by one; I photographed their faces, their votes. What I saw was a theater, a declared fiction of Americans on stage. I pulled off all the colors from these faces and now, as unaware inventions, they are called on existence only for that time imposed by the establishment. For that one vote they become protagonist before being cleared out."
