I was quite amazed when the leader (the older fellow) told them to clean up or to get sodas, they all obeyed immediately as if they were in the army. When we left the parking lot, the area was spotless. Much different if I had been around a motorcycle gang in the West where you would have beer cans and cigarettes strewn over the ground. - Bruce Gilden

JAPAN. Motorcycle Gang - JAPAN. Kamonomiya. 1999. Bikers leave motorcycle meeting while being chased by police. It was interesting because about 40 bikers were in a large parking lot outside the town from 2:00pm until 8:00pm. Just as they were about to leave, the police arrived. Many bikes were loaded onto a truck because the bikers were too young to drive, even though they often do anyway. But since this was a meeting where they weren't driving, they were not going to ask for any unnecessary trouble. The others, who were driving, just left when the cops came. It was like a game where everyone knows the rules. The next thing you knew the bikers were gone and the cops left without arresting anyone. - Bruce Gilden

They went back on a September Saturday afternoon, not to mingle, but to show off. Some students, even though they are the same age, look completely different than the Bozosuku. Interestingly, the motorcycle members are tolerated and seem to be liked by the high school students. - Bruce Gilden

He is older, in his 20s, but he is the boss. Anything he tells them to do, they MUST do. I think he is liaison to Yakusa.
