FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
67th Annual General Meeting
Magnum Photos is excited to announce this year's Annual General Meeting will be held this June in New York City.
The Annual General Meeting is Magnum's yearly cornerstone event, bringing together members, photographer estates and the agency’s international staff to discuss collective business and vote on potential new members and nominees. The 2014 AGM will be the 67th in Magnum's storied history.
This year's festivities will be kicked-off at Milk Gallery, home to the Magnum Contact Sheets exhibition starting June 26th, as well as the AGM Masterclass with Alec Soth, Jim Goldberg and Mark Power, held from June 30-July 1. Milk is a media company based out of New York and Los Angeles, and is a hub for nurturing creativity and supporting partnerships with some of the industry’s most visionary talent and innovative brands.
This year's meetings will be held at Neuehouse, a private work collective in Manhattan designed by acclaimed architect David Rockwell, whose members are leaders in film, fashion, design, publishing and the arts.
Magnum's partner for the 2014 Annual General Meeting is Filson, the gold standard for tough, comfortable outdoor clothing that just collaborated with David Alan Harvey and Steve McCurry in designing a collection of bags "by photographers for photographers."
Finally, Magnum is excited to announce that for the 67 hour window leading up to the 67th Annual General Meeting, the collective will be offering 6x6 Square Prints as found on the @MagnumPhotos Instagram feed. Any image with the hashtag #AGMSquares will be available for purchase only during the limited timeframe, signed for $100. A portion of all proceeds will go toward the Magnum Foundation's Emergency Fund, which awards annual grants to photographers from around the world to support work that sheds light on under-reported issues and communities
