For the NICE 2015. PROMENADE(S) DES ANGLAIS exhibition, Martin Parr treats visitors to a real-time photo shoot using the Promenade as a backdrop in his photographic study of the city of Nice.
The Martin Parr Studio team will be throwing themselves into a veritable 4-day photographic marathon to create, edit, print and exhibit the photographs, as Parr takes them, in the studio set up in the Artists’ Room of the Théâtre de la Photographie et de l’Image. Every day, the public will be able to view the images taken the day before.
A closing event will take place in the presence of the artist and his team on July 11th at 7 pm.
By moving his English studio to France for the very first time, Martin Parr brings a one-of-a-kind event to Nice, made possible thanks to the support of Magnum Photos, sponsorship by the Compagnie de Phalsbourg and the technical sponsorship of Canon for the printers, Eizo for the screens and Canson for the paper.

Live from the Théâtre de la Photographie et de l’Image: Martin Parr’s team digitally manipulates and prints the photographs taken every day for the public to see.
<b>11 July at 7pm:</b> Vernissage of the pop-up exhibition created over the past few days.
