When:
Dec 9 -
This intensive one-day Master Class will help photographers begin to understand their own distinct way of seeing the world — and help them figure out their next step photographically. This workshop is part of the Miami Street Photography Festival — which will be held during Art Miami Basel —and it will include an optional street photography assignment in Miami’s Little Havana the day before.
A workshop for both serious amateurs and professionals alike, it will taught by Magnum photographer Alex Webb and Rebecca Norris Webb, a creative team who often edit projects and books together, including their joint book and Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, exhibition, Violet Isle: A Duet of Photographs from Cuba, Alex’s recent Aperture book, The Suffering of Light, and Rebecca’s new Radius book, My Dakota. The Miami Street Photography Festival will also include a slide talk Saturday night with Alex and Rebecca, as well as a slide talk on Friday night with noted documentary photographer Maggie Steber.

NOTE: This is a workshop for photographers who collaborate with the world, such as street photographers, not for those who dramatically alter their photographs digitally.
