Following the Boeung Kak Lake (

and
here
) move of day before yesterday, and in an unprecedented show of gathered forces, representatives of 20 communities involved in land issues in the Phnom Penh area came together to deliver a petition at the Council of Ministers. All the access roads but one were blocked by police, causing considerable trafic jams on Monivong Boulevard. The representatives managed to slip past and were then pushed back by riot police for about one hour before a delegation was finally allowed in the Council of Minister's premises to deliver the petition.
The communities are: Boeung Kak Lake, Borei Keila, Group 347, Tropeang Anjan, Former Boeung Kak Lake residents, Railway community, Thmor Kul, A Piwat Thmey, Pret Tatoo, Boeung Chuk, Former Group 78, Village 14, and 8 communities in Russey Keo district...
