Every month we run the Magnum Showcase competition with our educational partners, IdeasTap.

It's a chance for young photographers to get their photography in front of the professional photographers and industry experts. Each month we invite photographers to submit up to 20 photos that tell a story relating to the monthly theme. The winner has their work reviewed either by a Magnum photographer or senior member of the Magnum team, showcased here on the IdeasTap website and personal feedback on their work from the judge.

September's winner, on the theme 'Personal Stories' is Chris Asadian for his moving and honest documentation of his mother's struggle with schizophrenia. Judged by Fiona Rogers, Cultural & Education Manager at Magnum London.
