2014 Israel-Gaza Conflict

January 7, 2015
by Paolo Pellegrin
Paolo Pellegrin spent much of 2014 in Gaza, exploring a culture where conflict and its manifestations are built into the very fabric of the landscape. Some of this work was featured in New York Times Magazine, where Pellegrin was paired with fellow Magnum photographer Peter van Agtmael to document both sides of the war. Pellegrin's focus was largely on human and structural aftermaths in Gaza, capturing the family or house or neighborhood in those painful moments that occur just after THE moment has occurred -- the one that changes everything.
