Mark Lubell has been appointed the new CEO of the International Center of Photography (in New York).


ICP was born out of MAGNUM, thanks to Cornell Capa (brother of Robert Capa) who founded the ICP in 1974.
Mark Lubell was director of Magnum New York from 2004 to 2011. He directed several major projects, including the "Magnum photos collection".

The Magnum Photos collection, which contains nearly 200,000 press prints of images taken by world-renowned MAGNUM photographers, has been donated on september 2013 to the Harry Ransom Center at The University of Texas at Austin. The gift was made by Michael and Susan Dell, Glenn and Amanda Fuhrman and John and Amy Phelan.
