The proverbial "teenager" is uniquely photogenic -- there's a reason that the Magnum archive is chock-full of images of teens from around the world. It has something to do with the strange place they inhabit in society, awkwardly stuck in-between the more defined stages of childhood and adulthood. From older portraits by Henri Cartier-Bresson to more modern portraits by Alex Webb, it's this utterly vulnerable state of in-betweenness that makes the teenager the subject of so many great Magnum photos.
