The Daily Gallery
October 9, 2012
In a world saturated with emails and texts, Facebook posts and Twitter tweets, The Daily Gallery celebrates World Post Day. Photography, like the industry of correspondance, has undergone a rapid revolution since the introduction of the personal computer, and suddenly we find ourselves living in an age when shooting with film is almost as rare as writing out a letter by hand. But, if you've ever taken the time to do either of those relatively antiquated activities, you know that there is something undeniably more personal about them and that you feel far more invested in every frame or every word. That's not to say that things were better then -- the utter speed and flexibility of digital has made some impossibles possible -- but that there is certainly still value in the analog, and we hope that every so often, you explore it.
